About This Book
A playful illustrated retelling follows three small mice who leave home seeking adventure. After sleeping outdoors and falling ill, they search for food and plead for scraps at a farm, then flee when the farmer’s wife intervenes. An escape through a bramble hedge injures their eyes and results in the loss of their tails, leaving them blind and distressed. They find a chemist who provides a restorative remedy that returns their sight and regrows their tails, and the mice eventually settle down, learn trades, and prosper.
