Cully

A wounded man awakens inside a sealed yellow suit on a bleak underwater plain with fragmented memory and impaired speech, while intrusive communal minds—the manythoughts—urge him toward an elusive goal. His body performs familiar actions he cannot fully control as he navigates shimmering alien flora and golden sands, and he unknowingly activates a small black device that harms the surrounding life, provoking horror and guilt. Driven by conflicting impulses of personal longing and collective compulsion, he presses onward through changing seascapes in search of whatever the calling promises, confronting blurred boundaries between autonomy and external influence.
