Encounters with a young woman from a bourgeois family enriched by industry and with the world of music become catalysts for emotional awakening and self-reflection. The work moves through episodic scenes of domestic conflict, travel and quiet interior portraits, tracking gradual psychological formation more than overt plot resolution.
