Know Thy Neighbor

The story follows Ellen, a young tenant in a cheap city apartment who encounters a series of unsettling incidents: a dead cat on her fire escape, strange noises in the halls, and odd neighbors who watch and gossip. As she investigates and interacts with residents such as an inquisitive elderly woman and a reserved neighbor, suspicion and claustrophobic unease grow, and everyday domestic details, including coffee and chores, contrast with hints of a concealed menace that culminates in the discovery of a grotesque green creature in the building's incinerator chute.
