A resourceful teenage girl and her friend set out for a long-delayed seaside camping trip but are interrupted when the girl's father arrives with an unexpected woman; soon a strange short-wave broadcast, an enigmatic bearded stranger, and odd happenings around a coastal lighthouse and cavern draw the party into a layered mystery involving hidden packages, tide danger, and a disembodied voice. Through investigation, secret visitors, locked doors, and nighttime peril, they piece together clues until the source of the signal and the truth beneath the cave are revealed, bringing the adventure to a resolute conclusion.
