The Camp Fire Girls Amid the Snows
About This Book
A circle of young Camp Fire members complete a rustic winter cabin in the New Hampshire hills and spend the season there, sharing chores, songs, and holiday festivities amid heavy snow. When the group struggles to find an adult guardian, a formerly skeptical older acquaintance volunteers to stay, provoking suspicion that slowly gives way to reconciliation. The narrative follows their domestic routines, a campfire play and an Indian-themed song, small rivalries and misunderstandings, and a misfortune that tests their cooperation. It concludes with farewells at the cabin and quiet plans for each girl's future.
