About This Book
The narrative follows a high-school senior and her close circle of classmates through a year shaped by friendships, rivalries, and rites of passage. Episodes include school events such as a Thanksgiving bazaar and holiday celebrations, student theatricals and parties, classroom contests and study campaigns, a theft and a prank, a haunted-house episode, romantic tensions and rebuffs, and moments of personal confession and recognition. Interwoven are scenes of cooperative schemes, mischief, and social tests that strain loyalties and culminate in farewells as the students prepare to leave their familiar community.
