Exit From Asteroid 60

The story follows two Earthmen who have been abducted and forced into slavery on a small, highly magnetic Martian satellite, where numbered prisoners toil in silent, airless mine-works extracting precious ore for a mysterious machine. Stripped of normal sleep by drugged nutrient rations and kept under strict Martian supervision, they cope with rationed oxygen, harsh labor, and the eerie soundlessness of the environment. One recognizes the other and they clandestinely conspire, slipping into a hidden cavity to hide and plan a bid for freedom, revealing theme elements of resilience, technological oppression, and improvised resistance under alien domination.
