Mind Stealers of Pluto

A determined newspaperman investigates a circulating narcotic that is corrupting pockets of the solar system. His inquiry takes him into Martian dives and other fringe ports where addicted, ESP-altered offenders and frightened civilians intersect; a vulnerable woman and her impaired brother provide both leads and moral urgency. As he follows the trade, he uncovers a drug ring that reaches into the outer planets and involves rogue spacecraft and dangerous conspirators. Encounters grow increasingly violent and conspiratorial, forcing him into desperate measures and a perilous chase through space that lays bare the human cost and systemic reach of the epidemic.
