The Frightful Ones

A boy witnesses an alien craft land near his town and, recalling lessons about keeping watch and alerting others, approaches to investigate. He hides and then confronts small, suited extraterrestrials, engaging in a desperate fight that moves from the hillside into the ship's interior. After disabling several invaders and triggering an airlock, he retrieves a metal nameplate bearing unfamiliar markings as evidence. Bruised and exhausted, he returns intent on warning the townspeople and proving the extraterrestrial presence.
