About This Book
The narrative follows a young boy named Wulf who, after witnessing a mysterious armored knight and learning of hidden treasure, comes under the care of Karl the armorer and becomes entangled in the power struggles around a fortified castle. He gains allies, uncovers plots against an outlawed baron, discovers a baby hidden among the reeds, and rescues a maiden named Elise from captivity. Flight through the forest leads to an audience with the emperor and a climactic battle in which loyalties and courage determine the fate of the shining knight’s hoard, resolving the boy’s coming-of-age through daring and fidelity.
