About This Book
A pilot hires an insistent, itinerant older man who reveals an obsession with finding the missing half of a pierced silver coin. Mechanical trouble forces the aircraft to land on a remote mesa, where the traveler discovers a bleached skeleton clutching the matching coin half. The discovery crystallizes the man’s long, restless circuit across Western towns and the private compulsion that has driven his repeated journeys, leaving questions about memory, loss, and the costs of a life spent searching.
