Blue eyes and diamonds

A young woman who has secretly pawned her husband's diamond necklace after gambling losses tries to hide the truth by wearing a paste substitute and arranging with a detective acquaintance to have the fake stolen so she can liquidate the real stones. Ashamed and fearful of being found out, she orchestrates the apparent burglary, but when her husband unexpectedly recovers the genuine necklace she panics and hastens to involve the detective, triggering a tense scramble to prevent exposure of her deception.
