About This Book
The narrative follows a mischievous, barefooted boy drawn from a poor neighborhood whose restless behavior and home troubles bring him into a village Sabbath school. Placed under the care of a shy but steadfast young teacher, he hears stories, observes different families and classmates, and confronts choices between idle habits and Christian duty. Episodes alternate between schoolroom scenes, home visits, and moral conversations that highlight themes of compassion, patient influence, repentance, and spiritual growth as the boy gradually responds to kindness and religious teaching.
