The Status Civilization

The narrative follows a man who wakes with severe amnesia in a prison planet where deported offenders are stripped of identity and forced into a society that rewards brutality and shuns compassion. He learns the rules by indoctrination, navigates shifting allegiances and ritualized violence, and seeks to recover memory and a coherent self while confronting absurd laws and institutional hypocrisy. The work satirically examines social order, the inversion of moral values, identity under enforced anonymity, and the mechanics of a punitive bureaucracy, using dark humor and speculative devices to probe questions of freedom, responsibility, and what sustains human dignity under systemic dehumanization.
