Two collaborators preparing to present a radical hypothesis to the world sense that reality has multiple, interlocking roots and that unseen forces gnaw at those foundations. During a public orchestral symphony evoking an ancient world-tree myth, one of them is involuntarily compelled to steal a small, enigmatic object, an act that draws them into investigations of overlapping time-streams and alien infinities. The narrative weaves mythic imagery into a depiction of a near-ideal society under subtle threat, exploring cosmic dread, fragile utopia, and the consequences of confronting realities beyond human comprehension.
