Prey of the Space Falcon

A space-opera set under authoritarian Food Administrators whose monopoly is undermined by illicit gardens and smuggling. An outlaw leader and his Brood conduct clandestine raids with an unconventional weapon while relying on covert contacts, including his brother, to gather intelligence. Tense scenes place enforcement agents closing in amid Martian night-club intrigue and competing smuggling rings. The leader works to assemble a fleet to challenge suppression, endures costly setbacks when ships and allies are lost, and confronts a personal betrayal by a young woman whose disloyalty has decisive consequences for the movement's survival.
