About This Book

A collection of critical essays argues against recent revisions of the New Testament text, examining the editors' proposed Greek text, the corresponding English rendering, and the textual theory that underpins them. The writer challenges reliance on a limited manuscript base, disputes conjectural emendations and awkward translation choices, and defends traditional readings, offering a point-by-point reply to a published defence by an opponent. Appendices and indexes compile manuscript evidence and patristic citations to reinforce a cumulative textual and philological case.

Index II, of Fathers.
